    And the main point of CyTown is to make the Iowa State Center a viable statewide attraction. Ames doing Ames things. I am shocked that these dopes didn't class action Iowa State for using "Ames" on the helmets and shirts last fall.

    The City of Ames can't even get behind and support business progress and its going to support a High A team? I am old enough to have seen them kill 3 different plans to build shopping and entertainment off of 35.

    Cedar Rapids is less than 5,500. There is not a single MLB franchise that would pack up their operation and move it to Ames, Iowa.

    Meh... Iowa fans did the same thing with Purdy. Actively mocked us when Lazard (from Urbandale!) went undrafted. Its a rivalry. I don't get a Cooper DeJean and Caitlin Clark check from the State of Iowa every month so why do I really care where they are from? Them being good doesn't get Iowa...

    No one is fighting for less Iowa State teams to root for. I love baseball but Iowa State bringing back a sport to lose 3+ million a year AND get its ass handed too it is bad business. This isn't Big Ten baseball where everyone is at a weather disadvantage...
