I wasn't able to get to the site all of yesterday evening - but there doesn't seem to be anything posted about it. Was it just a problem on my end? Or was there some announced down-time everybody else was prepared for and not me?

Sorry for the issues. I spent 15 hours straight in front of the computer yesterday getting things straightened out:)
We had a system entry attempt that normally wouldn't have been a big deal because of the security mechanisms in place, however, it just happened to coincide with a new slave drive installation and in the end it corrupted the OS data so I had to do a complete OS load and then a manual data restore. Nothing can happen to the data, it just made for a chain-reaction that caused a long restore process.
I've put in place a better backup system since the last time we were down but everything wasn't fully in-place yet, thus the long restore period.
Hopefully we don't see the same kind of problem in the future and I have some technicians doing some further system hardening and tweaking for me as we speak to ensure future snafus don't bog us down. |
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

I just shut my computer down in frustration ... after clicking refresh on CF about 20 times.
