Could we make a private forum for members over 5k posts to blab? Maybe require a certain number of reputation points as well?

Sounds like an interesting idea, but I wouldn't use post count as the entry limiter. Maybe length of membership and reputation.

Speaking of reputation, our current rep system needs an overhaul. It's basically worthless as far as trying to gage someone's reputation on the board. The scale needs to be changed. And bring back negative rep. But I digress, that deserves its' own thread...

If this were to happen it should be based on rep. That way the Hawk trolls for sure can't get in. (Not talking about the good Hawk posters on this site.)

Agree on some sore of rep requirement, as opposed to number of posts. Quantity doesn't necessarily mean quality..

This is a popular request... but a moderation nightmare. People attack each other via negative rep, then we hear lots of complaints about it and have to moderate it. There were both internet tough guys AND people being too sensitive when we had it.
