Chat feature

Is there any chance we could get a chat feature added?????

I usually PM, but it fills up fast and isn't as easy as it would be to IM someone.

I had a nice chat feature last year but it never really got used so I quit updating it and took it down. I'm looking at trying to get a new Chat/IM feature in place where you can either chat or just send IM's back and forth similar to PM's but quicker and without reloading a page if you're already online.

There was a chat feature? When did that get taken down? The chat would be better for gamedays than the 700 post threads we get.

I can get something in place but it won't be by Saturday. It was odd before, people still posted in the long threads - I think it was just so they could reference things later on. Anyways, I'll get something in place. Thanks for the feedback!

And there were 3-4 people in it tops during a game. Mostly because people didn't know it existed.

If I recall, it was kinda slow. I think people will prefer the threads better, easier to keep up, etc.

Chat would be cool for gameday info, that is about all I can see myself using it for.

When I frequented CR, we used the chat feature constantly during basketball games. There would be 50+ people on during any given session. And everyone loved it -way better than threads. In fact, so many did use it that it got a little cluttered, so being able to separate rooms might be nice as well. A general room and invite only?

But speed is the key. And it was fast.
