These videos keep autoloading on pages and playing the ads all by themselves....AdChoices is the name of it. Anyway to set that to not start on its own? A good example is Chris's Iowa State @ Iowa Preview. The video that starts with Wally just starts playing after the ad gets done. Kind of annoying...yes i'll probably watch the video but not right away as I'm trying to read the article.

Tonight has been ridiculous. I have heard the ads 10x more than all the other times here combined. I have no problem with ads whatsoever, but tonight is the first time I have ever been really annoyed with any web site.
But I put the computer on mute, wouldn't be as bad if I had an actual mute button.. but like I said its not a problem with any other website.

It chews up bandwidth and kills my system. Open multiple pages or go to the next page in a discussion and my system locks up trying to scan the videos for viruses and spyware. Why because every page refresh resets my disconnect and starts playing the same crap over and over and over again. They look for this pattern and subtract the number out of you counts. All you are doing is harassing your viewers.
It is a problem and a huge useability issue.

Glad I wasn't the only one. Yesterday was brutal. Autopaly of any video is way to invasive and rude. Why would any site force that on their visiters.
Agree on these stupid videos. It's annoying as heck. Every tim I go to a different page on CF I have to listen to an ad, usually the same one over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
I found a workaround - I disabled Flash in IE (for when I browse at work) and that stops the videos. You can allow Flash for individual websites the way I'm set up now, which works pretty well - that way I don't have to worry about the ESPN.com videos autoplaying as well!
