Embed Flash Videos

I know there is a command to embed YouTube videos (which are Flash Videos), but could a command be developed to embed Flash Videos from an arbitrary site, given that a direct link can be provided to the video?

I think you can embed FLVs with HTML, but it seems that HTML code is disabled in posts on this forum...

Re: Embed Flash Videos

I have it setup so links to videos at the below sites will automatically be embeded. I don't have it so you can use random HTML or other files though for security reasons....

Youtube, Metacafe, iFilm, Putfile, Bolt, Google Video, Guba, Grouper, Revver, Atom Films, Veoh, Myspace Video, Vimeo, Vmix, Eyespot, Liveleak, Sapo

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Edit: never mind - it seems to work now...

So how how would I embed a video from metacafe? I pasted the HTML link into my post, but all I ended up with was an html link when I previewed it, I didn't get an embeded video.

Thanks!
