Ok, to stop the butt ball and golfsecks discussions,
Here's how I see "like" and "rep".
Like is informal...a funny joke, a LOL, you 'like' the post.
"rep" is a little stronger, kind of....someone posts a link you hadn't seen but really appreciated (but didn't put the whole effing article in their post), they say something that completely changes the discussion, they stop a bunch of dooshnozzles from ruining a good thread, that type of stuff.
