Why did new commit thread get closed????

Was wondering why the new commit thread was closed - the bickering, release of info, what causes a thread to be closed???

Re: Why did new commit thread get closed????

It was because of a combination of the release of premium info from other sites and because of the bickering. There's absolutely no problem with people talking about recruits and potential recruits but we've stated many times in the past, and it's in the rules, that we do not like premium content to be openly discussed until it has been confirmed by a member independently of said content. I could release the info, but I don't 99% of the time, a member can post that they've heard or confirmed it from a source or it can become free info at other sites. Until one of those things happens, we prefer to leave the info off the site out of nothing more than a professional courtesy.

Thanks,

Jeremy Lind

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

The key is any mention of info from CycloneReport. That's the only real no-no. Agreements have made.

Jeremy can you answer this for me...Say i know of a commitment would it be a violation of policy if I posted it? I am not a paying member of CR nor will I ever be.

You can post it - anybody can post whatever sources they have and whatever info they have. I only ask that IF a poster gained the info from CR as a premium subscriber that they not post it. That's just a courtesy I like to extend to a fellow Cyclone that earns a living off of the premium service and nothing more or less. Thanks for the good question!

Do you have some info or were you just asking a 'what if' question?

Re: Why did new commit thread get closed????

Has there ever been any talk or interest in starting up some sort of Cyclone message board Olympics? It would be CycloneFanatic vs. CycloneReport. We could have it before one of the football games during the tailgate. I think it would be great and really settle a lot of issues that most of you guys have.

We could have events like typing speed, google searching on recruit info, who knows the most players personally, and other things like that. Of course, the whole event would wrap up with a CF vs. CR tug-of-war, with the loser being hogtied at unable to go to the game.

Don’t worry CF-ers, there are three things that I’m great at: 1) Tug-of-warring, 2) Hogtieing, 3) Intimidating, 4) Jackhammering.

Who’s in?
