iPhone Webclip

Just a simple feature request -- with the new iPhone firmware, you can save Safari bookmarks to your home screen. However, the icon that's saved is an eensy little preview of the site. When you start to add multiple sites, they all start to look the same.

I found a site that details the short process that is required to add your own custom icon for your website. The user can't do it... it has to be server side. But check this out, Jeremy, and see what you can do.

HOWTO: iPhone Webclip Icons - Dan Dickinson: The Primary Vivid Weblog

FWIW, you don't have to add the gloss to make it fit into the desktop, as the iPhone automatically does so. All you need is the 57x57 png file listed in the directions.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

Re: iPhone Webclip

i know it's not ideal, but you could always zoom in your safari to the logo at the top left. That's what I do. I just have to zoom back out when I get to the site.
