Closed threads
If a thread is going to be closed by moderators, maybe they should refrain from posting in the thread after it has been closed. Just sayin'.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers -
Re: Closed threads
Not sure which specific thread you're talking about, but, for me, it is very hard to tell if a thread is closed or not.

Re: Closed threads
I think there needs to be a "garbage" forum, where garbage threads go to die.
A. It's a good example of what NOT to post
B. it gets them out of the forums where they were, without people wondering what happened to them

Re: Closed threads
they might have been replying to it or reading it AS it was being closed by another. and since they can post in closed threads, they wouldn't have known the difference.

Re: Closed threads
I can't tell if it was closed or not. My mod powers are weaker than others. PLus, I think it should stay open so people can pile on him Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Perhaps just having a pop-up warning (are you sure you want to post to this closed thread?) that displays anytime someone with rights posts to a closed thread would be sufficient.

Re: Closed threads
Do closed threads not show up the same for Mods as they do for slappys like me?
I don't even have a quick reply box on a closed thread.

I don't even have a quick reply box on a closed thread. Nope, they show up like any other thread for us, just with a little tiny "closed" button at the bottom. It's pretty easy to miss it.
