Soccer will never catch on in the US. We have the greatest game in the world, why would we waste our time watching something as completely boring as soccer. I mean it is fine for 5 year olds, but once you are introduced to football, watching soccer is darn near as boring as golf.

No, that is fine if it makes you feel better. A lot of you people are missing the point here. I don't care if someone doesn't like what I have to say. I've left negative rep once in my entire tenure on this site and I gave it to a "moderator"-status member that I felt was being condescending in a thread (probably six months ago). I'm with Amy or Angie (whichever posted); negative reputation is only for someone flaming others, not because I disagree with their opinion.

Question: Green is good rep and red is bad rep. What is blue? If "blue" is neither positive nor negative, what's the point in giving it to somebody? To let them know you've read their post? I'm just curious, as I've had a few "blues" recently that have nothing in the subject line....

Blue is from someone that has 10 or under rep points. It doesn't affect your points at all. Just let's you know what they think.

Blue Rep is left by a member who's own rep level is too low to affect yours, i.e. someone with a rep of 10 would have no positive effect on yours so it would show up as blue.

OK, I just took a look at my status (which I never do), and I had posted in the Brandon Rush thread. All I said was that Iowa State players have acted that way as well. Then because since it seems to be OK to bash Wayne Morgan around here, I said that it must have been his fault, I think Wayne is the reason for the Iraq thing going so horribly as well. I got negative rep for it (which is fine), but yet again some keyboard hero wouldn't sign his name.

Thank you to chadm & C. John for filling in the gap in my knowledge! I recently got a "blue" for gushing about my favorite Cyclone b-baller, Barry Stevens. I was confused as to how someone would be "indifferent" about Barry! Thanks to the newbies anyway!

I know it won't. That's why I said it wouldn't, and I got negative rep for it. And I got more negative rep for the comment you quoted on me because someone who needs hooked on phonics thought I was saying that soccer WILL catch on in the US.

Speaking of not being able to read: I saw a commercial today for the Bible on DVD. Not saying that I sit down and read the Bible, but what is our society comming to when we even want someone to read that to us instead of just reading it ourselves. I think that even the big guy would call us lazy for that...

What a day it would be if Mom & Dad got a bible DVD mixed up with Naughty Nurses 45.

They take off on a Sunday and leave the kids with a sitter, hand her what they think is a bible DVD to have the kids watch after lunch.

Agreed.. I got negative rep for saying womens sports suck! I am sorry it is the truth. Watching womens basketball is just boring. And yes, I have been to a handful of ISU womens games, including NCAA games, and it was still just boring. Although I did like Stacy Freeze, she is cute!

I wasn't trying to make myself feel better. I've only thrown out rep a few times and I've never signed my name. Not because I'm hiding, but because I assumed your name showed up automatically. Now that I know it doesn't, I'll add my name. I've never read any rep comments, I'm not even sure how to do that.

My comment was more about the stupid nature of rep anyway. It doesn't have anything to do with the posters, it only deals with the content. Too many people would give positive rep for posts they agree with and negative rep with posts they disagree with. Not many people would probably give good rep for a well thought out point that they disagree with.

I gave you negative rep for this thread because you call out people that should 'be the man' and leave there name. Maybe you should 'be the man' and not whine about it.
