We have a couple handful of negative threads after every loss, wayyy too many. ANd even more in the middle of games where we dont know how they will finish.
This is why I left CR 4+ years ago, and i dont like coming on here for days at a time after loses due to all the over reaction and stupidity.
I'd like to see some people lose the ability to start threads, because they and their "input" are useless.
Bring it back. If your overall rep goes negative, enforce automatic bans. Start at 1 hour (cool off time) and go up for repeat offenses. 2, 6, 12, 18, 24 hours, then 48, 72, 1 week, month, etc...
Seriously. I'm as ****** as anyone right now, but it's not hard to have a civil conversation without picking fights.
Why can't people be negative when our team looks terrible?
I don't understand this. Obviously you have to control so that there are no crazy things like threats or calling people names.. but for real. This place really shouldn't have to be bursting with sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns all the time.
What exactly does rep get us? I don't care about how much rep I have or anyone else for that matter.
I think there should be a minimum post limit if anything. If you've got 100 or 250 or 500 or whatever limit of spots in, you should be allowed to speak your piece and be trusted to post something constructive.

Then how do you get to the minimum post limit if you aren't allowed to post???
When we shut down threads, we're accused of being communist censorers. When we don't, we are accused of not having control of the board.
Can't win.
Give me the power to lock threads. I'll take the heat.
I'd have all the bowl projections in one thread instead of each person saying "hey, here's what ESPN thinks" "Hey, here's what CBS thinks!" "Hey, here's what I think!"
People that start threads just because they think their opinion is more important than the already created threads on the same subject are annoying.
Whether it's silly or not, negative rep does help control that. People think a little bit before they get out the flamethrower, and you can easily tell the negative nellies between games because they're the ones with the red bars. Bring it back!
