What's cracking here on a beautiful Wednesday?

Okay...I hate to play Mr. Policeman today but some of you have left me no choice. Lately, (losing tends to do this) many of you have been dancing around the language filter that we have on the site. That is clearly against our site rules and right now, I'm asking you to stop. If you don't and this keeps up like it has been, we're just going to start deleting your entire post. I'm am not trying to be sarcastic here, but does that include both (1) using alternate spellings that create the intended phonetic and (2) when people actually type the real word, which the language filter catches, but it is pretty obvious by context what was inteded, though we only see ****?

And, thanks for stepping up the regulation on this. I often read CF on my phone while sitting on my couch. My 7 year old occassionally likes to read along with me and I have to be especially careful lately.

What we want everyone to do is to just spell out the word normally, and let the filter decide what to censor. If you do this, and the word isn't in the filter, that's not your fault...the mods will edit it. It's OK to use swear words, but not OK to spell them phonetically or by just adding your own asterisks to part of the word.

Generally, if there's bad words in YouTube titles, we have to delete them. Also, generally, posting links to mildly obscene materials is OK, but direct embedding so they show up on CF isn't OK. However, this is a mod judgement call.
