Site design changes and improvements thread #1
Post any ideas you have regarding the site design and layout. I hope to write something to help everybody get familiar with some of the new features on the site like Buddy Lists, etc. Please keep the posts in this thread on topic so I know exactly where potential issues are.
Try to post in the following format if possible:
Issue Area: Recent Topics
Issue Description: Recent Topics section only shows 5 topics and no info regarding the poster.
Issue Improvement: Please change it to where it shows 15 topics and you can scroll to see more than the 5 visible.

Just some personal preferences... ideas... not number 1 priority or anything.
Issue Area: Front Page
Issue Description: All areas have a light border so they seem to run together.
Issue Improvement: Either make the title bars a different color for things like "content" "user" "recent topics" "donate" so it's similar to the beta 2 version. Or make the borders to those sections darker.
Issue Area: Calendar
Issue Description: Cannot post events such as football or basketball games to stand out compared to birthdays.
Issue Improvement: Allow for posting of events with [glow=red,2,50]glow[/glow] text.

I always liked how on the first design you could see how many responses a thread had before clicking on it. Just a thought. Great work so far!

Speaking of possible enhancements. Here is one that new/old fans would enjoy:
Perhaps Bryce or Jeremy (if you have access) could add the Cyclone leaders page for football and basketball (and maybe Pete Taylor winners). It would be nice to see the records of all time leaders in a condensed format.
I noticed the offical Cyclone website had a 30 pager adobe file that only went up to 2001. Hard to believe they are that far behind.
That was pretty impressive that Curtis and Will were so high up all-time in steals and asists.

i agree with moose I think a recruiting page showing the players were going after and their schools interested in, however, no matter what changes you make this will still be by far the best cyclone site out there
