Fanatics -

Just a quick heads up. We'll be taking the site down for a short amount of time tonight at 11. We're working on installing a load balancer that should increase the speed of the website. Thanks for your patience in advance.

Dear CW,

Sometimes less is more. Your 20 ads per page are making this sight slow.

We know you need to make a buck, but adding more and more ads is as irritating as jerks with out font size control.

Use chrome and notscripts to avoid ads or change to mobile view if it bothers you.

I will never complain about a product this awesome for absolutely free. If it is a big problem use chrome and install adblock. You can right click any add that gets past that filter and block it yourself.

Good news - Everything went fine last night. The outage was under 5 minutes. To clarify my original post, what we did last night will not make the site faster. That will come after step number three. We'll be installing a second server to do that shortly. A bunch of tech stuff that I don't always understand but we are on the right track.
