Important CF Posting Information

I created a global announcement that will show on the categories for each forum section but here it is as well....

First, I appreciate your passion for Cyclone athletics and devotion to Cyclone Fanatic. It amazes me how fast this site has grown during its short existence. Thank you to all of you for making Cyclone Fanatic what it is today!

As the site grows and more members become active participants, more threads are created. While this is a good “problem” to have, sometimes the new threads can be inundating – especially following an athletic event.

I would like to ask each member, instead of creating a thread with your personal post-game views, please add your thoughts to an already existing post-game review thread. This will help keep the board clean and allow members to read everyone’s opinion without searching through many, many threads.

Myself and the moderating team will be merging these threads into one when the topics are the same or similar. Please make our jobs easier by adding your comments to a current thread.

This is not to say creating new threads is bad or wrong, I’m just hopeful we don’t have 10 different threads about the same topic.

This is on a going forward basis from when it was posted. We didn't go back and merge threads prior to this announcement.

So is each game going to be limited to one thread? I could see how general reflections on the game could be one but there are probably a dozen different 'threadworthy' things to discuss after each game... I would rather have a number of smaller threads on different topics than one huge thread to read through...

Good call. Here's another idea- instead of people creating (several) new threads before each and every game asking if the game is on tv, or if there is free internet audio, these threads should just be bumped from previous games and reused.

We will try to have a pre-game, game, and post game threads.
Other threads with unique insight will be acceptable.
We are just trying to stop 50 people from starting threads that have unique info.
I.E. when the ticket counter changes I have merged four new threads with the same number into one.

Well people can still create seperate threads for things, we're not limiting the number of posts per day or anything

but most people have shown interest in having a couple of more topicized (?) threads for game coverage so we don't have 200 threads talking about the exact same thing.
