10/8 CF Ownership Update

I went big. So far no repercusions. I will expect somebody to take more offense to it than what it really is worth. Someone will throw a crap fit over it even though it was a joke. That is how it works in message board life. Go ahead and kill me people.

What is going on here? This CF Extras thing has been a roller coaster from the git-go.

I've been donating regularly since I got on this board, and I was eager to hop on the bandwagon for the CF Extras stuff. I would give some serious consideration at ear-marking my "refund" for the CF Extras as a donation if someone could give some honest explanation to me what the hell just happened and why.

I understand that things go sour in business, but couldn't this wait until spring?

I would also earmark a portion of the subscription for donation. Any idea when the refund will be happening so i can watch fot it?

I have to have a meeting with the party that actually rcvd the subscription money to get the details of the exact refund time-line and will send out a notice once I get that info. I apologize for the problems and hope it doesn't cause too much frustration.

, but some are not. If it's not obvious and needs to be spelled out it looses its effectiveness, which makes it appear to be stating something factual. Anyways, you were not the originator of the previous joke debacle.

I too am glad. I was keeping quiet, but was rather disturbed when I found out [edit: he whose name shall not be spoken, apparently] had his hands on this site.

I too will be making another donation once the refund goes through. I hadn't actually attempted to use any of the extras stuff yet, I just felt somewhat compelled to join since donations were no longer being accepted.

Same here. A donation from me is overdue, but I don't use PayPal. Thanks for running a great site. It is a vital lifeline to all things ISU, especially for those of us 1,000's of miles away.

Once again, thanks for the absurd amount of time, effort, and dedication that you put into CF, Jeremy. I'm sorry the subscription thing didn't work out the way you'd wanted, but I'm much happier knowing you still have complete and total control over the site. After all, that's the reason I came here in the first place- because the guy running the show was a nice, down-to-earth Cyclone fan!

Just a heads-up: you don't have to have a paypal account to donate. You can just use a credit card.
