Pre-Announcement

I'm working on an enhancement that will allow the site to function the same way it currently does, but with some additional features that will be based on activity and "credits". The general idea is that members will be able to earn credits based on different criteria and those credits will in-turn be able to be used on merchandise, features, raffles, games, etc.

One of the new ways members will be able to use their credits is with the CyBookie (vBookie) betting system. With this enhancement, members will be able to use their credits as they wish to bet on different events. Each member will be awarded credits based on their previous stats and they have numerous options on how to earn/spend credits so as to fit everybody's style of interaction.

I don't currently have an exact time that the new system will be rolled out but I'm working on it as hard as I can. It's a pretty major enhancement so I want to make sure we don't have any bugs or issues once we go live. I will probably take the site off-line for about a half-hour tonight (Monday, Nov. 5th) to work on some of the final features.

In laymans terms...

You can get credits for doing the things you normally do on the site but instead of the credits just being a stat like the rep points are, you'll be able to use them to gain access to certain things, spend on physical merchandise, and use on drawings/raffels, etc. It'll be like a currency that you can use on the site. The more you do on the site, the more credits you'll get to spend on the site.

It sounds kind of weird but once I put everything together, I think people will really enjoy it. We'll be able to give credits to people that otherwise might not get a ton of rep and in-turn they can use it on buying rep or merchandise, betting, etc.

I'll even make it so you get a lot of credits for donating
