FYI - I'll be working on the site quite a bit over the upcoming Holiday weekend. The site might be somewhat slow or look different at times while I roll things out. Please keep all error messages and site issues that occur during Saturday through Tuesday in this thread.
I will try my best to keep any disruptions to a minimum and hope to be able to do almost everything at times when we usually have the least amount of traffic. Thank you for understanding.

Do you project any serious downtime, or just slow refreshing?

The site should remain up and operational the entire time, except for maybe a half hour but a notice will be on the site during that time. I've already started on the upgrades for the database so everything should go relatively smooth and without much impact (knock on wood with fingers crossed).
The biggest impact will just be a few small features that will be missing until the upgrade is all done. I've taken away almost all of the stats that you find on the site to minimize the pull on the database but I'll bring all that stuff back after the holiday break.

It'll come back. I had to take down a few features that were interfering with the upgrades. Once I get everything coded and tested, I'll bring them back - mid next week.
