The ticket giveaway seemed to go over really well and I even made it so the winners got the credits accumulated in the lottery. We can do more lotteries to keep things even but we'd have to figure out how many credits per ticket.

Again...you are trying to hard to make it so everybody wins (regarding your comment about the store and how many credits for tangible items). I understand why you want to do this, but it's not true to life IMO. I really like knowing when I bet (even with only credits) that there are potential rewards along with potential consequences. I can live with the fact that I can't have something in the store if I lose large amounts of credits on a bet.

Keep the systems fun and real. Not everybody needs to win something everyday. I think most on here would accept the various consequences for how they bet on events and not expect charity in return.

OK - I just changed it to 25 credits per day for each member and 250 per day for posting.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

I have a fair ammount of credits and in fact I just lost about 70k or so of them on a couple bets this week but I'm not dumb enough to go all in on something like some people here do then are left out to dry with nothing when they lose.

A loan system sounds interesting but you'd have to set it up somehow so it charges interest on the loaned ammount so people don't abuse it. I think its been a fun feature but I don't think those who are dumb with their credits should be given some special exceptions while those who have been smart with them are in a sense somewhat penalized for being smart with them by giving these people multiple chances to get back up in the credits with them.
Careful, from the looks of the top 50 'Members Credits' list roll-over every week (sometimes daily) you're calling quite a few people dumb and stupid, including the esteemed leader.

Finally someone agrees. This needs to be as close to real life gambling as possible to keep it "fun". No charity for those who bet big and lose...that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I agree - it's a balance of realism but also making sure people can continue to have fun. I think the new payouts will help balance that out. Obviously further tweaking is needed but it's a good start to balancing things out.

I don't have the stats setup to show enough yet and that's on my shortened to-do list. It's a big priority, it's just a matter of work.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

How about a lottery for credits? Kinda like a CyPowerball? That would be fun and give someone an insane number of credits to bet with.
That's an interesting idea. Buy a ticket, pick numbers - something much easier than the 5 + 1 of regular powerball. Pot keeps rolling.

Or we could just make it simple and make it more of a raffle. Weekly drawing to win the pot - complete payout each drawing.

How about betting between members? I don't know how it would work but it could be kind of a cool feature!

I was thinking more of the second idea, to keep it simple.

The house could pony up a certain number of credits, then everybody pays in to up the ante, and a winner is drawn.

That could be accomplished if members could transfer credits to other members which I gree is a cool idea. Members could bet each other in the betting forum and bookies could could make sure the bets are kept.

I agree.

And trav...as you stated...this isn't the casino. This is an online, fun betting system. Jeremy set it up so everyone can participate - even if you lose all your credits - as long as you're active - you get back in the game.

Yeah - I agree with the simplicity part, at least to begin with.
