CF Stats Are Back!

FYI - I have enabled the stats portion of the Forum Home page that I previously tested. You can get to it by clicking on Forum in the top navbar. You can also click on the drop-down to see an expanded stats section with more stats for each category.

I enjoy rep for the single fact to reward the newcommers to the site when they offer a good POV or post.

But I will and do hand neg rep when I see fit. I try to limit that to once or twice a week and will use up all my +rep each day.

IMO, it is a nice feature to have on the site. And you can't please everyone.

And there will be people who will use the rep-jobs to increase their circles rep points... And I really don't care if they do.. it is all about fun out here in CF.com land.

And since rep has no monetary value it is harmless. unless you count fragile egos.

I will agree - I have never given anybody negative rep, not once. I only use it if I really, really agree with something. To be honest, I probably use it less than anybody.

Any progress on the CyBookie stats with most number of bets won/lost, winning percentages, etc?

Those would be really fun to see and just as meaningful, if not more than the number of credits. I already know my winning percentage is most likely not very good.

Not yet - it's very heavy on the database to do all the queries on every page load so I've been working on scaling back the current queries to make it easier to implement without bringing the server to a crawl.

Ah, nice. I understand the liability part, and I think groups will be good. NET was a nice way to interact with other CF'rs but not clutter main pages with new threads like, Where should I go out to eat tonight? Thanks for the insight, thanks for this website....I dont do my space, I dont do facebook but I do...do CycloneFanatic.

I have cleaned up the thread to keep things on topic. We can debate the merrit or need for features in a different thread.
