CF Update: Major Speed Improvement

Just to let everybody know, in case you haven't already noticed, the site has had a major update on the back-end that should dramatically improve the performance of certain parts of the site.

As of this morning, the enhancement has been completed. Please let me know if you experience any abnormal site problems that weren't there before.

It's about time Jeremy! It used to take .64 seconds to search and display all new posts... with the new update it now reports "Search took 0.30 seconds". This is much more acceptable.

You guys think I'm making a huge deal over nothing... but you tell me... would you rather have a wideout that runs a 40 in 4.64 seconds or 4.30 seconds??? I rest my case!

Good point!! If you calculate how many times you click "New Posts", or search for a forum and then multiply it by that .34 seconds, think of how many seconds you're saving yourself!

Jeremy just gave us possibly days of our life back that would have been spent waiting for CF to load!

But if an ISU passenger on a train that is moving at X amount of speed towards Des Moines, and an EIU fan is traveling at Y amount of speed towards Iowa City on a different train and both are on Fan Forum Sites, does that mean if I was the ISU passenger I would get to Des Moines faster??

I'm Confused?????

The train would derail somewhere around Tama after sliding off the track because of the oil spill that occurred from the shipment of Eddie's hair care products.
