wow - a metropolitan area of ~400,000 and i'm the only one so far in the Quad City area. It's kinda lonely here

So I'm have the only marker in a State that is one-third the size of the lower 48!

Unbelievably there is a hard core hawkeye fan in this area.
Speaking of sled dogs, the winning team finished Iditarod in Nome last evening;
I actually live 11 miles inland, off the grid (no telephones, cell phones, not connected to municipal power). I have my own generator, satellite internet, and satellite tv.
I share my yard with reindeer, musk ox, and moose.

K you folks, I noticed lots of us haven't got images for our placemarks yet.
Now, I know -you- all have real jobs and can't sit around and play with the pc like us lazy farmers can in the winter, but hey....
just as an idea, if you don't like the idea of showing your baldness (just kidding) or any other physical features that might be causing shyness, (don't put any words in my mouth ladies) you could put in a picture of your humble abode. Or in Alaska guys case, a picture of what the musk ox are doing today.
It's not mating season for all things furry up there is it? That's one scary mental image.
