I know this is a bit of premature speculation, but I was just wondering what you folks think the odds of us becoming the first program to win the cy-hawk series without having the Big 3 games at home?
I'd say, at this point, football is a toss-up. Looking at who we return vs. who Iowa returns, I think we have a legit chance at going into Kinnick and coming back with a W.
Men's BB, if Lucca sticks around, and with a healthy Wesley Johnson and Brackins, will be every bit as good as anyone Iowa has. I doubt Lick's team is as bad next year as it is this year, but we do have a one year head start on them, and if we can put our best players on the court, I like the odds there.
Women's BB, without knowing too much about it, I like our chances.
Gymnastics are always good for us
Wrestling? I really don't know too much about us or them, but it's my understanding we are pretty young, and we're not half bad this year.
Golf?
Swimming?
CC?
I don't' know if we win it outright, but I bet it's as close as it's ever been for the "road" program.

Men's Bball= ISU
Women's BBall= ISU
Wrestling=Toss-up, slight Iowa

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

I like our odds in Volleyball(2) W Basketball (2) and Gymnastics (2+2). Thats 8 points right there. We are lucky cause gymnastics is worth 4 total points and we get them twice. Pick up 2-3 more wins in the 8 other sports and we will get it

I just want to get through this year first. I do think our athletics is on the rise though.

It probably isn't great that we have football and bball at home the same years. You would think it would be better to alternate this.

It makes it more even then one team having home field advantage through out the year

I don’t care… I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it… let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

Personally, and I'm sure I'll get knocked because Iowa lost this year - I think the Cy-Hawk series is a joke. As it was mentioned before, the only sports I care about is football, basketball, and wrestling. It's obviously WAY too early to even think about the match-ups next year in any of those sports.
Of course, it's fun to dominate all the sports, but I don't really care about volleyball, swimming, golf, track, CC, etc...

And that's one of the reason's they created the series; to get people more interested in those "I don't really care" sports. The series itself is kind of a crock, but it does end up getting people to pay a little more attention to those other sports as well. Which is good.

It was the first time I had ever asked, "Hey do you know if the swimming team won last night?"
