Empty Stadiums | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Sports
Definitely a very cool feature on KCRG tonight, showing how the stadiums are all empty with the Christmas season, showing Hilton and Jack Trice, along with Veteren's Memorial and Kinnick and Carver and Drake. Worth the time to watch the video.

I've always liked KCRG's team. They're head and shoulders above anyone else in eastern Iowa, and I maintain that they're one of the best local news crews anywhere.

At least they didn't use their location to just focus on UNI and the pukeyes. Nice mentions of JT (did you see the Cyclones win the Cy-Hawk trophy) and Hilton (one of the best home court advantages in college basketball).

You can see Carver Hawkeye Arena empty anytime... Just tune in to a hawkeye basketball game.

I think it is 70,585 since the renovations. That's the attendances I've seen in box scores for sellout games.
