Repeat like it is old news, or repeat offender?

The title of multiple threads in the in-state rivalry forum.

He admits trying to run away from the cops. And only got a 350 dollar fine.

And the problems continue

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Yeah, but what did Homan do? He tried to about the same thing? Or hide under a car... This one is pretty minor. Just dumb kids being dumb kids.

Re: Repeat: Iowa Football player arrested

Two players Clint Huntrods and Dana Brown were dismissed from the team following their arrests. The remaining players were suspended from the team and either remain suspended, transferred to another school, or have been reinstated.
I found this paragraph interesting, I mean what other options are there? Death? Are you really telling us anything here or just making your article look longer.

Well, unfortunately, a dumb act like this is magnified by all the problems the team has had this year. In any other year, this would be one of those things that people just shake their head about. But right now, the team is under the magnifying glass, and everything mistake is bad.

It's a shame. Hopefully he's taught a lesson.

i wish you guys wouldnt nit pick so much on the hawkeyes legal troubles. I just feel fortunate that ISU is currently not involved in a bunch of issues. All it takes is a few bad apples(not even on the football team for that matter) to lead some atheletes into trouble.

dig me?

Let's hope things don't come back around. Most of the troubles at Iowa seem to come from the same people, and they all appear to be a tight knit group. Hopefully the trouble makers are gone, and the team can focus on what's ahead.

Normally I'd agree but this isn't a normal situation. These kids have to have been preached at to no end about this stuff.

I'm really starting to wonder if KF is getting through to these guys?

Until this one, I've actually been defending KF but I'm really starting to wonder.

(and yes, I'm knocking on wood that it doesn't spread back to Ames!)

Really? The kid is 21, and the football season is over. He had a few too many to drink (happens a lot to college kids), and he did something stupid. He's been at Iowa for 3 years, and as far as I know, this is his first run in with the law.

Like I said earlier, I think most of the major problems are behind the team (hopefully). This problem has just been magnified due to the past season's problems. I just hope that the arrests stop. Be it a minor offense or not.

Good luck trying to provide any defense for these guys SH. Probably a good thread to just ignore.

Like I said, normally, I'd agree that (kids will be kids) but this is just crazy. When I played college ball (a few centuries ago), the coaches put the fear of God into you after just one team incident. Oh well, I really do hope this ends over there.
