Redesign of Carver

Redesign of Carver could cost $40 Million | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Local News

According to this they are looking to spend around $40 million to do something, have not seen anywhere what they hope to accomplish though.

IMHO I think they go and and spend $5-10 million and refurbish the field house and use it again. With the fewer seats they might be able to actually sell out some games

Re: Redesign of Carver

I like the comment someone left below asking if the redesign is to make it have less seating and be easier to heat and cool.

Best possible way to remodel Carver:

Make it resemble the Kingdome

My Roman Villas:
Friley-Godfrey (-66|126)
Helser-Woodrow (-61|122)
Roberts-Harriman (-74|133)
Welch-Ayres (-73|133)

Re: Redesign of Carver

yeah I saw that as well, but with how full of hot air most hawk fans are, heating shouldn't be a problem, just need to get that industrial cooling system upgraded

good release the day after a 30 point loss in Big Ten play, especially with the attendance they have had this year.

Re: Redesign of Carver

So for $40 million - that makes it cost about $1 million per MBB game attendee

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

Didn't ISU release Master Plan details during a 4-8 season that was followed up with a 3-9 season?

Isn't ISU spending around $100 million on Hilton, when all is said and done?

I figured Alford leaving was a pretty big redesign.

Hilton opened in 1971. Carver opened in 1983. Hmm.

ISU Student/Alum & Hawkeye Fan = Valley High School Student/Alum & Chinese Women's Olympic Gymnastics Supporter. The Best of Both Worlds?

I heard they are going to install 500 of these sewing machines (See Below) around the upper deck of carver to help pay off the redesign of it. This will help speed up the current process they have in place by 50%.
They will have 500 Old ladies sewing non-stop during the games and will selling their finish football product to Nike. This is from a very, very reliable source:)

Fine...I'll say it...

I like the design of that shirt - would look perfect with the ISU logo on it and in red. :)
