| Assault records at Iowa stay sealed...
This whole things is really strange. The documents from the alleged assault are normally made public with the victims name blacked out. Why these are being held for another 60 days defys logic. Judge Patrick Grady signed an order Thursday sealing the warrants for another 60 days, the Johnson County Clerk of Court's Office confirmed.
There was discussion today about the wording of the order, but county clerk's office employees said it was a formality and the warrants would likely remain confidential for 60 days from Grady's order.
Judge Amanda Potterfield initially sealed the warrants for 60 days starting Nov. 16.
The previous seal was set to expire this week.
The warrants pertain to an investigation of a reported sexual assault early Oct. 14 in the U of I's Hillcrest Residence Hall. The U of I said three football players were questioned about the alleged incident, which was reported to university police on Nov. 5.
No charges have been filed in the case
