by posting a link to hawkeyereport where they are talking about Chizik(or Chezik in eastern Iowa) and Jared Edwards mom posting about the late part of his recruiting process. '

I dont take any of this as factual, i just think its comedy what these "people" like to believe. I love how all HAwk fans seem to be great friends with half of the ISU football team and know what is going on behind the scenes in AMes.

Seriously though, the original poster there sounded like a real winner. I'm sure she's raised a well-spoken, intelligent young man that will be sorely missed here at Iowa State. sarcasm.

Thanks for the comedic relief. I love that, but hey I heard Ferentz was the getaway driver for D Douglas...I mean I heard that from a clerk at the Wal-Mart...people will post of belive anything.

All Hawk fans? I actually saw a number of them calling BS on that post from "the mom". A few will believe anything, just as if the shoe was on the other foot here - there would be a number of our own on the "Fairentz is a loser" wagon.

It is amusing how so many people, Hawks and Cyclones alike - continue to butcher Gene's name.

That thread is pretty funny. The whole accusation from the prospects mother is equally comical. I'm sure Gene is in their living room, Jared tells him he's not going to come to ISU and Gene calls the kid a loser and "he was escorted out of the house."

I do like that there are a few who recognize it for the total b.s. that it is. AdamHawk, in particular, seemed remarkably able to string together sentences...

I don't doubt Chizik is a little frustrated and surprised at how hard this is proving to be. He's repeatedly said that he's never gone through a season like last year.

That being said, I find it really unlikely that this is true. It reads more like a Hawk fan taking a story (ISU pulling offers) and running with it.

I find it fascinating that Eastern Iowa, the bastion of Czechs and Slovaks in Iowa, is packed full of people who cannot spell "Chizik".

That is actually the "catchphrase" one of the programs at KXnO used to reinforce to all the Hawk fans that would call in and mispronounce his name all the time. Kind of cracked me up.

A few people are remarkably level headed.

But, the ones that say our players call Chizik a DB and etc are ridiculous! (I heard from my sisters' boyfriends' bestfriends' brother that his roomate's bestfriend's brother's roomate is a football player who says Chizik is a DB.)
