WOW...Drake dropped 4 spots in the latest AP Poll

Went from 16th to 20th. Granted they lost by 1 at home to Bradley earlier in the week, but after the victory at #8 Butler I figured they would at least hold their spot.

Still not alot of respect being given to Drake.

As a side note, Butler dropped to #14.

They did lose at home.... I figured they would drop 1-2.. 4 is alot.

Looks like they dropped 2 in the Coaches Poll as well.

They did beat the #8 team on the road. I'd hope that counted for something.

Are we to believe that if they won both games they'd have risen 4 spots? Doubtful.

It is a lot harder to move up than it is to move down. But the drop of 4 spots seems a little much. I think maybe 2 is more accurate.

I think it's bogus. Drake has clinched the conference championship, so that game meant a lot more to Bradley than it did Drake. As for the Butler game, both teams had something to prove on national TV and Drake won in their gym. It seems very odd! I am hoping Drake can knock off one of the big boys in the NCAAs...somebody like Michigan State or Indiana would be perfect.

Big boys in the same line as Michigan State or Indiana? Maybe five years ago but not now.

If you don't think Indiana or Michigan State (particularly in the Izzo era) are big power players in major college basketball, then you don't know much. Drake knocking off one of these programs would be enormous.

I'm surprised, but I probably shouldn't be. At least they didn't drop out. Maybe this helps keep that chip on their shoulder they like to talk about.

Somebody pointed this out to me, so I can't take credit, but it's interesting enough. In the AP poll, Drake picked up like 20 votes, but fell 4 spots. However, 9 votes separates the 20th and 17 spots, and 67 votes separates 15 and 20. By contrast, 222 votes separates 20 and 21.
