I think it is the whiny tone and the lack of substance to most of the info. Just my opinion. Mmmmmm, I love M&Ms... | | |

Do you really think I would try to spin this crap? If you do, then you haven't listened to the show. When there is news, I play it straight. When its goofy stuff like $90 tickets, that's when its time to have fun with some folks.
A story like this is not the time to spin for the Hawks. I try to call it like I see it as it relates to news, analysis of games and the like.

I totally agree with you saying it's time for Arvell to be gone. He needs take his "City Boyz or whatever they call themselves crew" and leave Iowa City.
I honestly hope there isn't more to the drugs they found in that room or this could get really, really, ugly!!!!

Apparently they were spoiled & are okay with below average seasons now...

If it were Iowa State that had 14 arrests (we had our share of problems towards the end of the McCarney era, not 14 arrests but several), I would be flat out pissed off. That stuff is unacceptable in my book. Sure, a few are going to happen but when 14 players are arrested in less than 12 months, something is wrong. When more than 10% of your entire team is arrested within a year, something should be done about it. And right now, nothing is being done. If it were Iowa State, I would be leading the charge for something to happen. You just don't hear that from a lot of Iowa fans.

And a good number of the communications I have with them, they are pissed. I dont know that you are a subscriber to my site, so you are not on the members board. The majority of the folks are pissed off. The free boards are in meltdown mode, there is more anti-Ferentz sentiment than there has been since he was hired over Stoops.

This is true.
Have you had any conversations about this situation with Kirk or any of his staff members?

This is kind of like a trainwreck...you can't not watch. IMO Ferentz reached on some less-than-reputable kids. He had a ton of success with some walk-ons and sleepers, but he knew that he couldn't depend on that year in and year out. Recruiting has gotten a LOT tougher for them with Zook and Weis in the neighborhood. So, KF went into inner city Detroit for talent. Say what you want, a lot of those kids just don't make the transition to small college towns that well.
Maybe iowa should get a chaplain on board?? Man, looking at the controversy that caused in Ames, think what it would do in even more liberal IC!!

What I think is interesting is that it took a couple of kids with drugs to get Squawkeye Nation all huffy and puffy on Kirkie. Apparently rape, credit card fraud, and shop lifting are no big deal.

The message boards, the overall tenor, has not been good in Hawkeye Nation since August.

For those who dislike Marty and Miller, at least you don't get pounded with Knu and Creighton all the time... I would rather hear a hawk homer than talk about Nebbie any day of the week...
