It's interesting how a former walk-on at Drake ends up being the MVP of the tourney.
Man, Drake really hosed Illinois State in the tourney championship.

Drake is a class act in about every way possible and the way they play and their chemistry is something I hope we see at ISU very soon

Question for the day: Can I still make season tickets work for FB and MBB if I move to Canada? |

Agreed with all of this, Drake has been my 2nd favorite team in Iowa for a few years now (until this year I kind of thought of them as "little brother"). EIU fans are used to how well that kind of thinking works out! Anyways, today's beat-down of Illinois State was very exciting to watch, Go Drake!
I have a couple days of vacation to use or lose by the end of the month, so I will definitely be able to watch them play, but not in person. I usually try to avoid Nebraska, even if it's just Omaha. I prefer a sports bar with the NCAA package where I can watch all the games at once anyways. Nothing is more fun than the first weekend of the NCAA tournament- the chaos of all the games at once, the upsets, trying to keep all my brackets straight! I can't wait!
I hope a #15 upsets a #2 this year, or even better a #16 over a #1! CBS needs some new highlight reel footage...

I really didn't start rooting for Drake until the MVC Tourney, and I'm amazed how badly they annihilated Ill. State.
It's gonna be oh so interesting to see how they do in the "Dance".
Perhaps they haven't even peaked yet? Scary!

I soooo much want to see Drake absolutely slobbernock a "name" team in the NCAA Tourney. I mean, I want to see them absolutely clobber someone like that.

That would be cool to see them beat up on somebody like Kentucky....imagine how much fun Dr. Tom is having right now watching all this unfold while playing with his grandkid.

You have to assume a chunk of the tickets in Omaha were sold to Creighton fans hoping their team would land there. Since that won't happen, you'd have to assume there's going to be some dumping of tickets.
I look forward to watching Drake make a statement in the NCAA tourney. What a great group of guys.

Some of the losses today are definately helping Drake. With some of the losses of other teams in the projected 3,4,5 range Marquette, Xavier, Indiana, Vandy, UConn, and Purdue they may have moved into a solid 4 and maybe a bubble 3.
The move from 5 to 4 really does nothing but get them out of the scary 5-12 matchup, but if they can get all the way to the 3 that would give them a very legit shot at the sweet 16.

Okay, just so it's said: Drake is still a diploma mill for law students who can't hack a real law school, but have a ton of cash.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled program....

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.... I said to a guy I once worked with that was quitting to go to Drake Law School......"Is it true that Drake is an acronym that stands for Dropout Receiving a Kollege Education?"
