To make matters worse, Iowa's average attendance was just 10,761 for 18 home games. That's more than 1,000 less than the previous low at Carver-Hawkeye, which opened in 1983.

Unfortunately for Iowa, they will have to win their way into good attendance. |

Unfortunately for Iowa, they will have to win their way into good attendance. Hawk fans are notorious bandwagon jumpers. If their b-ball team starts doing well, don't be surprised to see their fans show up claiming that they always supported the coach and program. |

Damn. We had 19 losses when they had 16 in 2002 - their worst season. And we only drew 10,543 for 18 home games - all of them wins - in the 1999-2000 season. Damn us, our glass house, and that pile of stones intended for the pukeye nation.

Hey, Lickliter is a great coach. After all, his cupboard was Alford bare and he had to play some tough nonconference games like ISU, UNI and Drake.
