Where being ranked below Iowa is a good thing...

This is an interesting look at a combo of FB and BB...

Scout.com: 2008 Ooooops & Helmets

Although the "good" in this thread's title is couched by the fact that I'd rather not be that close in ranking to Iowa in this list.

Yeah, nothing to be proud of there.

Ouch. And Northwestern is a private school, so the Hawks are technically #1.

This sucks.

Woohoo the Big 12 and Big 10 dominate. Oh wait that is not a good thing.

Interesting...in 2005 Iowa State was one of only 5 schools in the nation to have their mens and womens basketball teams in the NCAA Tournament and their footbal team bowl champions. ISU has certainly gone down hill except in ticket prices however.

Yeah, so what? We have understanding and loyal fans. I don't think our attendance is hurting.

I'd much prefer a "wait and see" outlook to "Debbie Downer", though.

I think all of our coaches currently in place have shown us glimpse of good things to come, while the ones that just got the boot showed us some serious "ugly."

I think that in the end, even Mac agreed that he needed to go.

I have some doubts about that.

Mac took ISU football to an unprecedented string of bowl games and could have done it again given another year or two. The sad fact is he was not dismissed for performance as much as he was dismissed because a new coach would create ticket sales.

Wow, thanks for that "interesting look". That was good if you're into masochism.
