Stupid Hawk Panthers... Cyclone/Panther - Result of superior breeding.
Hawk/Panther - Result of inbreeding where relatives from second cousins on out with the collective IQ of a granite stone get together and a simple game of braille anatomy goes sorta wrong.
Hawks - Same as Hawk/Panther except it is with relatives closer then second cousins. Brother/brother, brother/sister, first cousins, etc. etc.. Until we have a legitimate pesticide for these pesky low lifes, we just have to put up with them.

Question for the day: Can I still make season tickets work for FB and MBB if I move to Canada? |

Actually, it depends on what for. And, as stupid as it sounds for me to be arguing this, I wouldn't put Iowa above any school academically. At least not undergrad.
Iowa is a grad school with an undergraduate program on the side.

Iowa is a grad school with an felonious program on the side. I needed to fix your quote. |
Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

The Regent Admission Index combines four factors that predict college success: ACT/SAT test score, high school rank, grade-point average, and the number of completed core courses. An index score of 245 or above is one of the requirements for Iowa high school students to be automatically admitted to Iowa State University, the University of Northern Iowa, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at The University of Iowa. I was just trying to justify it I guess......

Take it from somebody who's applied to all three state schools, none are easier/harder than the others to get into.

My girlfriend is as close to a "pure Panther" as I think exists. Her mom went to UNI, and she never liked ISU or Iowa growing. She then ran track for UNI, so by virtue of actually being a Panther athlete, she really was a straight up Panther fan. However, I have slowly converted her to the good side of the force by dragging to 4-5 games last year (including that early trainwreck, of which I will never hear the end). Bottomline, "pure Panthers" do exist in the wild, albeit they are quite rare and probably should be on the endangered species list...

I'll order up another shot of sin, I'm running twice as hard into the wind, I'll hitch a ride when the next one comes in, fell off the wagon again...
