Egg-smashing hawkeye chick

I never watch Big-brother, but tonight I was going thru the channels and I saw this gal on Big- brother in a black and gold shirt that said IOWA on it, smashing eggs and cussing and making a fool of herself. Does anyone watch that show or know what's up with that? Boy I was glad she was wearing a sqwaukeye shirt!!

There are a lot of UNI fans/students that like their school, but probably grew up a Cyclone or Hawkeye. That is why you probably see alot of ISU and Iowa Gear on their campus. I can think of a bunch of cyclone fans that I know that went to UNI..
As far as this chick....Iowa just got their team flashed to a 100 million people. Recruits watch this stuff and at least they will probably have heard of Iowa now as far as they are concerned.. There is a pro for having someone act like an idiot while wearing your gear.

I caught that too...... typical UNI/hawk. A hawk fan but can't get in the U so she attends UNI and doesn't give two craps about UNI.

I hope you are kidding about recruits watching. I highly doubt a high school football or basketball player (or any sport for that matter) would make a decision on where to attend college because some chick was wearing a Hawkeye shirt on a television show.

Ever take a marketing class? It is just like product placement. People will see the name/logo and remember it next time they see it. Or they will think... University of Iowa has chicks that go crazy and break ****? I should look up what kind of campus they have. There are a lot of people out there. Just because you wouldn't look it up or etc, doesn't mean that other people won't.

Can't get into U of I? It's not that exclusive. U of I and UNI have the same admission requirements:

I knew several Panthers who told me the same thing... there is no such thing as a pure Panther, just a Cyclone/Panther or Hawk/Panther...

Strength of Program - UNI is stronger (I think) in some areas than Iowa...

but still. Going to UNI and rooting for Iowa? Thats low... come on have some pride in your school!

How about the people who go to ISU yet still only root for the hawks? (never understood that)

I grew up a Cyclone fan but went to UNI, and UNI is my 2nd (distant) favorite team...Unless you grow up in Cedar Falls there arent many "true" Panther fans
