Cotlar and Drake

When exactly is Cotlar going to stop talking about Drake?

I've flipped over a few times and EVERY TIME, he's been asking the person that he's interviewing what he thought of the game, etc. Sad really.

Dude, it's over...let it go...they lost....move on...

Re: Cotlar and Drake

Cotlar has nothing else to talk about, and hey at least this is the one time he is talking about sports instead of what craptastic blues band is playing at blues on grand.

Those bands remind me of the meteoric rise of the Drake program and the trials and tribulations of one KENO DAVIS.

He won't be going nowhere this year. Next year, if this happens again and we know it's not a fluke what happened this past year, then he becomes a viable candidate for bigger jobs......

IMO that is.....

We will have to keep all sharp objects away from the Cot-Man.

Or maybe I will mail him a razorblade, a bottle of booze, and some sleeping pills???

Re: Cotlar and Drake

I was thinking the samething today. I turned the station when he started talking Drake to a National guy. Everytime he has someone on he brings up Drake, and spends half the segment on them. Its a good story but they lost get over it.

Re: Cotlar and Drake

I ask this question in all seriousness; Is Cotlar a Drake grad? Or, if he's not, other than them being the local team and having a great season, miracle shot loss at the buzzer notwithstanding, does he have a more personal connection to Drake?

He is their play by play voice. He got the gig a couple of years ago and he has been a Zabel-like homer ever since.

At least Zabel went to Iowa. When ISU what will people think if Jon Walters (a Drake grad and fomer play by play voice for them) turned his sports cast into all ISU all the time?

Re: Cotlar and Drake

He had Stinson on this morning. I think people would bash whoever was doing a morning show. Honestly, if I was a Drake fan, I'd love it.

I think Cotlar is a Mizzou grad. If I am right, I am embarrassed of my knowledge.
