IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - A group of University of Iowa scientists is looking for marijuana smokers to help gain insight into the drug's effects. And they plan to pay subjects as much as $600 to smoke their pot.
The study examines how marijuana affects brain function and cognition, with particular attention to the duration of use and the age of first use. The measure is brain imaging studies and achievement tests, such as for math and verbal skills

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

There was a Dilbert where they were looking for volunteers who had extra time to join a task force that was looking at effective downsizing. A couple of folks appeared (for the only time), and raised their hands. Everyone pretty much figures out what happens to them.
Wouldn't it be something if this was an elaborate sting over there in the IC?
Sadly, it's just a study, with real drugs and real money. Sigh.
