If it will shut Cotlar up I am all for it. Since 4 rolls of duct tape and size 14 gym sock can't do that, I don't really care.

My how the fan base turns on him. I just had a fan tell me he hopes Keno fails miserably.

Looks like the Knapp Center is back to being a library.

They will still be the favorite to win the Big 4.

Re: Keno Davis to Providence?

I wonder if the recruiting class stays intact? They have 2 signed LOI's from the fall and 4 commits for the spring period. It will be unusual if all remain firm.

Dr. Tom back to Drake perhaps to smooth over any hard feelings?

I can totally see Dr. Tom taking over for another year. Smooth transition, keeps recruiting in check, helps ease any hard feelings towards Keno, etc.

Dr. Tom coming back for a year or two wouldn't look good for Drake at all. Would simply look like a fall-back, safety net approach - as if they don't have the ability to go get a decent/good coach.

Re: Keno Davis to Providence?

I'm a little surprised that an offer came so quick after only one year of success, but you can't blame the guy for taking it. I'd take a tough job that paid 5 times what I was making now. He grew up in that area so I'm sure has a lot of contacts and friends that he'll be close to.

Some shawdows of the Iowa hire last year. It appears some coaches already turned the job down and Keno had the National Coach of the Year to go behind his name. Kind of similar to what was being said when Iowa hired Lick.

I feel a bit sorry for the Drake fans, but this shouldn't be a surprise.

Kinda similar, but Lick had gone to two Sweet 16's, been in coaching for a long time, and was a head coach for several years. That's a little safer bet to me.

I wonder if we could pick off one of their commits. Yeah, that would be sad, but I've heard that they considered their class to be the best in the state, and GMac isn't exactly tearing up recruiting right now. I'd take a look at their four unsigned guys and see if any of them can help us.

Do or do not, there is no try .....Yoda
