Meh, it was still a great ride. I'd take 3 or 4 of those years every decade!

I think you mean Northern Illinois or Western Michigan. Oops, scratch that last one.

Maybe Kansas State is interested in Iowa, they are in need of a cake school...

The series is not going any where. Iowa fans just like to talk about it because they are sick of losing to ISU. Its not so fun to be on the other side of the fence, is it? Nobody was talking about ending the series when Iowa was winning 15 straight. The series is finally competitive and NOW you want to end it?

Karma's a biatch.

I think their ankle bracelet restrict how far they can go for sales, so they'll probably need to find something different.

Let's face it, Mizzou has nothing to gain and everything to lose. They need to find higher-quality opponents in order to keep their program's momentum going.

Re: ISU vs EIU Ticket prices

When I first heard about this on the radio this afternoon, the news feed said that the ticket price has gone up $5 since the last time it was in IC. I could be wrong, but I thought Barta said that he wasn't going to raise prices at all?

Through the fire and the flames we'll carry on.

But he had promised $60 tickets if I remember correctly, which isn't the case. Heads should roll for the increase! He went back on his word! Mass chaos!!!

Re: ISU vs EIU Ticket prices

Well since 2 years ago Iowa struggled to beat last place Syracuse, lost to last place ISU last year, and lost at home to WMU...... they are probably struggling to find someone who DOESN'T want to schedule them. Nebraska had trouble with Ball State last year and was hoping to add Iowa instead this yr.

I wouldn't mind throwing Iowa off the schedule. Big 10 football has fallen FAR behind the rest of the nation. Seriously, the style of Big 10 football has to be the most boring around. SEC, Big East, Pac 10 Id rather play ANYONE from those conferences.

Re: ISU vs EIU Ticket prices

Considering how quickly Iowa's allotment of tickets sold at $90, perhaps we're still not charging enough for the game. I'd say keep raising the price every other year until you finally reach the point where Iowa fans stop buying them...

Re: ISU vs EIU Ticket prices

First the series is not going anywhere. Politically Iowa or ISU could not cancel the series and survive.

Ticket prices are getting out of hand for the average person especially with families. $90 for one seat is like the cost of a PRO ticket and ISU is not in a PRO market.

What needs to happen is to continue to grow the base and not gouge the loyal supporters who have been attending all these years. The high ticket prices also discourage new ticket buyers especially with families.
