As I was at Jordan Creek Mall today getting new shoes I was helped by a hawk fan. Not only was he laughing at our favorite hawkeye arrest jokes, but he actually conceded that ISU will probably have a better season than EIU next year! |

Granted, 99% of Iowa fans make the the other 1% look bad, but sounds like you found another of that 1%, ha ha. A good bud of mine played O-Line for Iowa in the mid-90's and is a great guy, we've even gone to ISU/Iowa games together. He admits that it did really sting when they lost to State for the first time in 15 years during his Sr season.  | |

I have in laws that are hawk fans, but they're for the most part reasonable.

I, briefly, dated an Iowa fan a few years ago and was told that rooting for EIU wasn't like having an "excorcism" and that it was actually quite "easy". I'm not quite sure I agree, but she was polite about the rivalry, so I nodded and smiled and lived to root for ISU another day.
