Iowa fans always argue that they're better than the team that just beat them, but that doesn't make it so.

I'm not going to argue with you, and I actually enjoy reading what southernhawk has to say, well at least most of the time.;)
I saw one of your predictions was 9-3. I would assume that's with a 5-2 conference record. Seems like a pretty solid bet to be in any conference championship hunt to me. This is coming from a team that went 6-6 last year and lost some good talent off of that team including it's two best running backs. That's all I'm saying. 9-3, 8-4 seems a little outlandish. I could see you guys hoping for that, but not expecting that at least based on how last years team performed and what you have coming back. Just one guys humble opinion.

I predicted 8-4, with 7-5 & 9-3 possible. Ohio State will go undefeated in the Big Ten. The best Iowa could hope for is a co-Championship and they won't be getting that either.

please tell that is what you meant by hope and won't be getting a co-championship.

However, when I agree, I'm being a homer and there's no way that should happen. KF is one of the top paid coaches in the country, and a 6 win season or less is not worth that kind of money. So, on one hand the salary should lead to higher expectations. On the other hand, the team Iowa currently has leads to lower expectations. You can't put KF on the hot seat without seeing what he does this year, after all he may surprise us all.
In conclusion, KF should be on the hot seat unless he win 7 or more games. Iowa is not expected to win 7 or more games. Therefore, KF is expected to be on the hot seat after this season.

I think this would have been a good year to catch Michigan on the schedule.
If Iowa wins 8 games I'll shave my head. I'll do the same if ISU wins 7.

How would I know? I'm not predicting what other teams are going to do besides tOSU kicking everyone's ***.

Purdue - W at home, but could go either way - I'll give it to you for now
@ Minny - W I will take what he has, except switch the Purdue and Indiana results. I will bet anybody up to 400 credits that Iowa goes 6-6.

Disclaimer: As the king of crazy predictions, I am not bagging on you for making them, I just don't see why you draw the line at predicting conference finish.

The Big 10 is an embarrassing conference. Will somebody please step up and beat Ohio St? They have shown the last couple years that they were not a championship team and yet they look like the greatest team while mopping up on the pathetic Big 10 conference. Zook has Illinois on the up, but he has yet to show that he can coach on a game by game basis. Michigan was above average but that was about it. Wisconsin feasts of the crappy Big 10 teams. The rest of the conference is a joke.

Considering the Big 12 has had 3 DIFFERENT teams in the championship game since 2002 I would say you are incorrect with that comment. While on the other hand, nobody has played in the championship game for the Big 10 beside OSU years!!

In fact, since 1995, both the Big Ten and Big 12 have the same number of championships, both from two different teams (Texas and OU, UM and OSU).
And wait, who was the 3rd for the Big 12? Oklahoma and Texas. I don't think there was a 3rd.
