They are only interested in him as a fullback and he wants to be a tailback. Iowa is giving him a shot back there.

Birthday present? That's about as exciting as someone committing to DMACC.

I don't think it's his grades that EIU has to worry about, it would be his future run-ins with the ICPD.

I think ISU may have found a diamond in Jeremiah Schwartz. His high school stats (yards and YPC) are also more impressive than Rogers'.

Rogers isn't a prolific back by any means. But a 5-10, 240 pound back isn't anything to scoff at. Not to mention, I think he's a solid pickup for the first commitment of the season.

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.

I'm glad the Hawks landed him. Sounds like tOSU wanted him for fullback. I worry about him having a break-out senior season and the Buckeyes "changing their minds" about the fullback position.

Their new coach won't accept those kind of grades in his first year of tenure.

I think his point is that if you're pulling a 2.9 GPA and an 18 ACT in high school, then you have the additional commitment that college football requires, it could be tough to stay above the 2.0 threshold to stay eligible.

Is that a guarantee?

Of course we got the same guarantee when Jason Ford committed to Iowa. How'd that turn out?
