Don't you know, Hawkeyes never lose, they only get screwed by refs, injuries, weather, etc, etc, etc.

I'd be nice and say it was a (Hyvee) Cy-Hawk state, but unfortunately (for you) the cyclones won that this year as well. So, I would have to say it is currently a Cyclone state.

Why do Iowa fans hate Jamie Pollard? Because he polarized the rivalry even more than it all ready was. I am an Iowa grad but I grew up close to Ames. I've had many good times in Ames. I have lots of friends who are ISU alum and would like to wish them well. But Pollard makes that very difficult. Iowa fans paid for the remodel of their own stadium and they shouldn't have to pay for ISU's too - by high ticket prices or with tax money. And as for the billboard thing, give me a break, he was trying to stir up controversy because any publicity, is good publicity.

If the shoe were on the other foot you would be saying the same thing. So don't get your panties in a wad girls. Flame on - you will no matter what I say anyway.

You guys - I am the only one here and speak only for myself. Not all Iowa fan's act alike, think alike, etc. Someone asked why Iowa fan's hate Pollard. If you don't want an answer then don't ask. If your going to have pages and pages of post's devoted to nothing but trashing Iowa, people are going to reply.

Don't forget the games where they're the best team but they lose because they "didn't show up", or "didn't try", or "it's the other team's Super Bowl".

He said that because it is a well known fact that the renovation will need no tax dollars. You were misimformed.

First, check your facts about the tax stuff.

Second, you don't think the dollars that ISU fans spent on ISU-Iowa football tix at Kinnick went toward the renovations? Ha!

Pollard did what any smart person with a business mind would do - take advantage of what the market will bear. Instead of letting scalpers make a lot of money on that game, he made sure ISU got a slice of that pie.

The fact that Iowa isn't doing it (yet) is simply a stubborn PR move. Not "wrong", but they could easily do the same and sell the thing out - easy.

There were Iowa fans in JTS last year? Thats weird. I only remember a few that were in the stadium. I guess UNI paid for our stadium too... they brought nearly just as many fans.

I'll believe the tax stuff when I see it considering the ISU athletic department is not self sufficient. And yeah maybe ISU ticket sales did help pay for Kinnick, but atleast we didn't Jack up the prices for ISU fans only just because we could, you could have lap dances at half-time. Why doesn't JP try that, he would make alot of money. Maybe some slot machines in the bathrooms.
