I doubt that rubbed Hawks the right way....

Ohhhh and maybe we are moving forward and have hope for a future and Hawk fans only have the police blotter to look forward too....

As a UNI fan, I slightly understand the distaste towards Pollard. I think he seems to be a pretty arrogant individual. At least he comes off that way in interviews. And from a Panthers perspective, it is pretty irritating how he treats UNI. Especially trying to get rid of home games for basketball in Cedar Falls. He treatment of billboards is annoying as well. Trying to place Greg's "I Chose to Be a Cyclone How About You" billboard in Waterloo/Cedar Falls would have been very unclassy. It's nice Greg stopped that. The "Cyclone State" would be irritating to Hawkeyes, especially when placed right in Cedar Rapids on the way to Iowa City.

He's a great leader for Iowa State, he has tons of passion. But I easily see why rival institutions dislike him.

People seem to forget that there was a U of I billboard just south of Ames on I-35 for a while. Face it, they just realize that 'little brother' is growing up and it's getting a little scary to them. Oh yeah, and their football team is embarrassing.

I heard about the "I chose to be a cyclone" billboard at one of the Cyclone outings I attended but there was no talk about placing it in Cedar Falls/Waterloo. When they talked about it, there was going to be one somewhere on the north side of Des Moines and possible up in northern Iowa. That would be totally classless to put that up around UNI and I would imagine that was nothing more then rumours.

The "Cyclone State" billboard in Cedar Rapids im my opinion is pure genius. I could care less if I offend the trailertrash in the city or vacinity where EIUCC is located.

Yes, I say EIUCC......

Whether you like or hate Pollard you have to respect him because he has a vision for the Athletic Department and he's aggressively pursuing that vision.
