Seeing all the Iowa State related posts on here, maybe some of you are the twisted ones. I can't believe how much time is spent on these boards putting ISU down to try to make us feel better about our pathetic athletic dept. Really, why are we discussing Pollard, his stadium renovations, etc. WHO CARES? Worry about Iowa. It's not like our fb and bb teams are awesome these days.

And of course you have DJK whining about his mistreatment by ISU fans. Maybe if he would read some of his posts and see how much of a D-bag he paints himself as when he posts his slams on his alma mater, maybe he would earn some respect. Otherwise, he can rot.

I notice that too..... He comes over here and sounds like a complete tool. Then he gets called one name, then goes crying back on HN or whatever about being called that name.

As for Iowa fans hating Jamie, I couldn't care a lick. But this example is the main reason why I hate Hawkeye fans.

I find it amazing that Cyclown fans, with such a lack of football tradition at their pathetic little animal husbandry school, can sit there and talk trash about Iowa fans.
They say we are jealous because Pollard is so great and has Cylown athletics on parr with Iowa's? Hmmm who won the 2008 national championship in wrestling? It wasn't Pollard's hire Sanderson. And a lucky win in last years football contest by a kid who normally can't hit a field goal outside of 30 yards, but had a career day against Iowa, does not domination make! I as an Iowa fan hate him because he does classless things like put up billboards in Iowa's back yard proclaiming this to be a Cylone state. Iowa has never done anything tasteless like that. Then with the whole season ticket debacle...ISU only sells out 1 game a year, and that is Iowa and then in years they are in IC they sell out Nebraska, because the Cornhuskers travel. ISU couldn't even sell out their high school sized stadium when they were playing for a division title against Colorado a few years back. Ha! and there gonna make it bigger?! What so they can have even more empty seats? Iowa sells out games against Ball State and the likes...imagine if it were the final game of the season and Iowa was playing for a title, you wouldn't see empty seats in the stands! But that's right we're just jealous.

The classic tavern hawk response. This might be the most misinformed thing I've ever read. Iowa never does anything classless, how about the Iowa football billboard on I-35 between Des Moines and Ames.

Sorry, but "objectivity" is not a trait I find common in Cyclone fans either. And I couldn't care less if you think I'm a "D-bag." My quarrel was with some guy calling me a "whiner," when my post was an obvious jab at a post on the first page.

There are a few. My boss is a UI Medical School graduate and UI fan but he is actually realistic. In fact he has even shrugged and said "we suck" when asked why the vaunted Hawkeyes have been losing to teams like Minesota, Northwestern, Indiana, Western Michigan, and ISU. But fans like him and eightyshawk get drowned out by the UI fans (most of whom are not alums) who think UI is still a vaunted national caliber program that just hasn't "shown up" or "tried" for the last 3 years of suckiness.

Actually, I'm getting quite tired of posting over here. But the sheer fact that I can still do it is why I can't stop. And I've never been banned anywhere, so I guess it would be kinda cool.

Can I ask to be banned? Maybe I could whine to Jeremy, because I've heard whining is quite annoying. What do you guys think?

You can certainly be banned if that's what you want.

For me, though, I like the perspective of Hawk fans, as long as they are thoughtful and not disrespectful.
