Bottled water is your friend.

Went out with a bunch of people and i was with a bunch of girls when I left to go to our hotel room in the Sheraton, and for some reason I went up the elevator in the parking garage and right when I stepped outside I got smoked in the face by some black guy. And I was like what the **** was that for? and he tried smoking me in the face again. I looked over and another black dude was standing there adn so I figured I had no chance and took off running down the parking garage and ended up loosing my sandals...needless to say I got away and I had a lot of money on me so it was good I didn't get knocked out. I woke up with a super sore jaw the next day, but nothing that a lot of alcohol couldn't cure!
Another note, I could swear I see more illinois license plates in that town then I do driving through Illinois. My uncle is a detective for Iowa City/Coralville police department, and he said that they cannot keep up with all the crime and drugs from Chicago that are taking over IC.
I got more too about the whole Brandon Myers getting caught too if you guys would like me to share that too...ok I will, so he got busted for I cna't remember waht but he tried running from the cops...well it was a bad idea cause the cop that started chasing him down was a previous all-american track runner at EIU, and brandon myers got tackled by him and goes "holy **** your fast" and the guy goes "yeah I just graduated from here on track scholarship...remember me?" and myers goes "oh yeah"...haha

And if your concerned about IC being sketchy, maybe you need to explore your good ole city a little more. |

I wouldn't trade Ames for IC, but it was great to get over there a few weekends per semester and party it up. ISU is just more of a house party type of town than a bar town. I like the bar scene, but I understand while most of my neutral friends thought IC was more fun just to visit. |

(Which it really isn't; just needs some better water)
That reminds me. I remember in high school whenever we would travel down to IC to play City High or West we would always bring our own water because that stuff there was something awful.

Overall I prefer Coralville too although Iowa City has the Iowa River Power Company and the Brown Bottle, two of the best restaurants Iowa has to offer IMO. (I have only had steaks at either place and they are hard to beat.) I make it point to eat at one restaurant or the other every time I am back home.

(Who can argue with Woody's and the Lumberyard II being only a hop-skip-jump away from each other.)(Plus that is where the cities finest High School is located, yes I mean Prairie.)

Didn't Prarie have a Meningitis outbreak a few years ago?
