[quote=isucyfan;462196]OK, boys, here is your obligatory "play nice" post.

This thread is in the "In-State Rivals" forum. If you don't want to read about a state of Iowa recruit, don't open the thread. And don't respond.

Depends on what team that tree cheered for......

Or what kind of apple tree it is.

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.

Well congrats, good luck keeping him throughout the next year. Valley is still an ISU pipeline and Bofeli and Cutkomp will be clones this year. Now please, go the **** away.
I don't remember checking a box on my ISU application that said I had to support ISU athletics while getting my educaiton.

Come on, I've been totally polite in this thread. I posted about an new Iowa recruit in the "In-State Rivals" forum and I'm getting flamed for it. Nice.

I did.

But, before this thread gets too off topic....

I think for informational purposes, ISU fans would probably want to know.

However, I don't think any bragging is necessary. He's got almost a year before signing day, and who knows.

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.

Gotta agree with DJK15 here. I almost went to Iowa as a huge ISU fan, and never would have been "converted". There's nothing wrong with that.

I also don't really see that DJK has been gloating about this recruit. He just posted that a recruit that both schools wanted went to Iowa. Let's get a bit thicker skin here, folks.

ISU and Iowa will both get good recruits this year. I don't think there's much difference in booing your team or just leaving at Halftime to never to return. I think it sends pretty much the same message. I don't boo players but have been guilty of leaving early.

Should I feel guilty if I boo people who leave early??

Re: David Barrent commits to Iowa

I guess I don't see the problem with the thread. I was hoping we landed him. If it wasn't posted on this board, I never would have heard about it because I don't visit Iowa sites.

As far as people talking about whether or not someone has the "right" to post here. Come on. Some of you don't know what a right is.

I think the reason people are flaming about this could be from that Jamie Pollard thread.... We jumped on him because he was being obnoxious to say the least, then he whined on HN... Now he just had to be the one to report a new Hawkeye recruit... Hmmmm coincidence or not?? You can be the judge.

Sounds like a way to change subject and seem smug... Just an opinion.

I don't post on HN, so that's not me. I post on HR and I use a different name. Also, there's a djkhawk who posts here, so don't get him confused with me.
