Re: Iowa worst SOS of all BCS teams.

Totally false? Iowa had a few wins against them back in the Fry Era but I haven't seen much recent success against those teams. Would you say Iowa was competitive a few years ago against the Buckeyes when they compiled about 15 yards of offense for an entire game? That was the infamous game when Drew "4 Heisman" spiked the ball into the turf after being sacked for about the 10th time that game. Or how about the year Gameday was in Cesspool City for the "Big Game" under the lights and Iowa got handled with ease? I thought to be a teams rival you had to at least be competitive?

The totally false part is about Iowa just rolling over and giving up when they play Ohio State. They don't do that -- they try their hardest and fight to the end. They are just not good enough to compete with Ohio State.

As far as wins in the Hayden Fry era, Fry's record against Ohio State was 3-14-1. Kirk Ferentz' record against Ohio State is 1-6. Combined that is 4-20-1 over the last 29 years. It is not a rivalry. Not even close.

Yeah, but did our loss to WMU come at the expense of an all expenses paid trip to the Motor City Bowl?

I don't know what year it was that we lost to WMU, but I'm pretty sure most of us that year weren't talking about our Big 8/XII-championship-caliber team that had an outside shot at a national championship that year...

EDIT:
Upon further review, it happened in 1994. The records for the years surrounding that team:

1991: 3-7-1
1992: 4-7
1993: 3-8
1994: 0-10-1 (including a loss to UNI)
1995: 3-8
1996: 2-9
1997: 1-10

So yeah, we definitely weren't even discussing bowl bid, much less how great we were going to be that year. What was your excuse again?

My Roman Villas:
Friley-Godfrey (-66|126)
Helser-Woodrow (-61|122)
Roberts-Harriman (-74|133)
Welch-Ayres (-73|133)
