I grew up in Waterloo and listened to hawk and Twins games on the radio statiuon because that was all that came into the area. That was wehn the hawks werte good.
Chose engineering, went to Ames, and became a solid Cyclone fan.
It was easy to switch to the Good Guys and away from the Darkside.

ISU has done this before. I remember them doing it about 2-4 years ago. Nothing wrong with it, its free advertisement. It'll look good along with the Cyclone bench, garden flag, and rock in the front yard.

There have been polls on this site before regarding growing up ISU or converting...I believe that the number of converts is roughly 50%, which includes me. The three hawk fans that have posted in this thread did not attend the University of Chicago: Iowa City Campus so I guess it just supports the theory neither Hawk or Clone fans go to the U of I.

Well, you have obviously never heard Jon Miller's show, then. Paint tends to dry in a more exciting manner than the droning monotonal voice of Mr. Miller....
I think the only reason he has a radio show is his association with HN, plus the rabid Hawkfan shill inhabitants who run WHO radio....
Of course, it's possible that he has somehow improved in the 1.75 years I've been gone from Central Iowa, but I would be surprised if the improvement is significant.
